Kinetic parameters were determined in standard conditions with beechwood as substrate at concentrations of 1, 2, 5, 8, and 10 g/L. Experiments were performed in triplicate. Lineweaver–Burk plots were used to calculate the Michaelis constant KM and the enzyme turnover value kcat. The normalized equation v = (kcat/KM)[S]/(1 + [S]/KM) yielded the catalytic efficiency values (kcat/KM) with their corresponding standard errors.
