Rapid extraction of protein using the ZSB method was performed using the same cultures as the routine method. Approximately 1–2 cm2 pieces of mold were removed from the agar and added to a 1.5 ml tube containing 30 μl of zirconia-silica beads with a diameter of 0.5 mm and 60 ul extraction solution (consisting of 30 ul acetonitrile and 30 ul FA). The tubes were vortexed for 5 min at RT, and then centrifuged for 1 min at 13,800 g.
