The QOML is a measure of both Quality of Life (QOL) and Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) and was developed in a paediatric rheumatology sample. 20 It contains three items assessing current ratings of QOL, HRQOL and change in QOL since the previous clinic visit. For the first two items, respondents are asked to record ratings for QOL and HRQOL on a 100 mm visual analogue scale ranging from 0 (the worst) to 100 (the best).The third item is the completion of the statement “Since the last time I was here, my life is…”with a response chosen from a 5-point ordinal scale (much worse, worse, about the same, better, much better).
