HEK293 cells transfected with HTR1B, HTR1E or HTR1F expression plasmid were cultured on a 24-well plate at 37 °C and then treated with 5-HT for 10 min. Then, cells were lysed with 1 × passive lysis buffer (Promega). The phosphorylated ERK1/2 (pERK1/2) and CREB (pCREB) levels in cell lysates were examined by Western blot, as described in our previous studies [29,34].
