Unless otherwise stated, P values comparing two means were calculated using the two-tailed unpaired Student’s t test in Prism version 6 (GraphPad Software Inc., La Jolla, CA). A P value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. IC50 values were determined using the dose-response (inhibition) function in Prism version 6.0. The data were normalized and fitted using a variable Hill slope model.
