Approximately 3000 stably transfected cells were seeded on 6 well plates and cultured for 15 days. The medium was changed every 3 days. Cells were washed twice with PBS before being harvested, stained with crystal violet and photographed 27, 28. The stained colonies were counted with imageJ.
