Acetic acid, ethanol, NaCl, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, dibasic potassium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic heptahydrate sodium phosphate, potassium sodium tartrate tetrahydrate, glycerol, Folin & Ciocalteu’s phenol reagent, albumin from bovine serum, anhydrous sodium carbonate, NADP, D-glucose 6-phosphate sodium salt, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, MgCl, 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene, reduced L-glutathione and testosterone were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich Merck (Saint Quentin Fallavier, France). Acetonitrile and methanol (high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) grade) were purchased from Thermo Fisher Scientific (Waltham, MA, USA). Ammonium acetate, sodium hydroxide and copper sulfate were purchased from VWR (Fontenay-sous-Bois, France). Flo-Scint™ II and Ultima Gold™ liquid scintillation cocktails were purchased from PerkinElmer (Courtabœuf, France). Ultrapure water produced by a Milli-Q system (Millipore, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France) was used for the preparation of HPLC mobile phases. [14C]-testosterone (specific activity: 2.18 GBq/mmol; 98.8% pure) was purchased from PerkinElmer. Standards of testosterone metabolites were purchased from Steraloids (Newport, RI, USA) or from Sigma-Aldrich.
