After anesthetized, adenovirus vectors expressing HMGB1 or SOD2 or control virus was injected in 3 different sites of the left adductor muscle (1 × 1011 viral genomes/limb) of 8-week-old mice. Hind limb ischemia was induced 3 days after virus injections. Laser Doppler was applied to test limb perfusion on day 0, 1, 7, 14, 21 and 28 post ischemia. Western blotting analysis was used for HMGB1 and SOD2 expression.
