MTT viability assay and apoptosis assessment

HUVECs (5000 cells per well) were plated in triplicate in 96-well plates, and cell viability was determined at 24-, 48-, 72-, and 96-hour time points using the MTT viability assay (Sigma-Millipore manufacturer’s protocol). Cell apoptosis was assessed using annexin V staining from BioVision (K101) following the manufacturer’s protocol.
