Cell lines and cell culture condition

The colon cell lines: FHC, LoVo, SW620, SW480, DLD1, and HCT116 cell lines were obtained from the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Science (Shanghai China). FHC, LoVo and DLD1 cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 medium while SW620, SW480 and HCT116 were cultured in DMEM medium containing 10% foetal bovine serum, 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 μg/ml streptomycin. All the cell lines were incubated in a 37 °C humidified incubator with 5% CO₂.
