Total RNA was isolated from skin biopsies using TRIzol reagent (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA). cDNA was generated using an HighCapacity RT Kit (Applied Biosystems, Carlsbad, CA). Real-time PCR was performed using SYBR Green Endpoint measurement and expression calculated using the deltaCT method relative to the house-keeping gene GAPDH. Primer sequences are provided in Supplementary Table 1.
