The purified PDCoV-infected LLC-PK cells in six well-plates, harvested at 24 hpi, were negatively stained. The virions were stained with 2% phosphotungstic acid (pH 6.8) for 1.5 min and examined using a Hitachi Model H-7650 transmission electron microscope (TEM). The virus samples were observed according to the methods described in earlier studies [20].
