After serum testing, the rats were euthanized, and their hearts were removed. The heart was fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 48 h, dehydrated in a continuous solution of ethanol and xylene, and embedded in paraffin. The heart was then sliced evenly at a thickness of 5 μM. Next, the sections were stained with HE and Masson’s, and the myocardial tissue was observed under NIKON DS-U3 (Japan).
