To assess participants’ experience of falls in the workplace, we asked, “Have you experienced a fall in your workplace in the past year (excluding falls while participating in sports or exercise)?” One answer could be selected from among the following 4 options: “Often,” “A few times,” “Once,” or “Never.” We then classified those who responded “Often” or “A few times” as having fallen, and they were denoted the “Fallen” group; those who responded “Once” or “Never” were classified as never having fallen, and they were denoted the “Not fallen” group.
