The studied population was composed of adult patients enrolled in the Leiden Combined Care in SSc (CCISS) cohort (21). Data were collected between 2004 and 2019. To be included in the study, all participants had to meet the following criteria: 1) fulfill the 2013 American College of Rheumatology/EULAR classification criteria for SSc (22); 2) have evidence of ILD on baseline HRCT; 3) have been treated either with autologous HSCT or with intravenous CYC for at least 6 months; and 4) have high‐quality HRCT images at baseline and after treatment completion available for scoring.

Research on the CCISS cohort is approved by the Ethics Committee of Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) (approval number P09.003), and all patients gave written informed consent. The study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
