ChIP assay was performed with the ChIP-IT Express Kit (Active Motif, Carlsbad, CA, USA) using standard protocol [19]. The anti-SMYD3 antibody ChIP-enriched DNA was sent for ChIP seq analysis (Arraystar Inc., Rockville, MD, USA). Total RNA was isolated using Qiatrizol reagent (Qiagen, Germantown, MD, USA) [13]. RNA sequencing was performed by the Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics core laboratory (University of Colorado, Denver, CO, USA) [20] (see Supplementary Methods).
