Participants who had left their contact details at the end of the online survey were contacted by SBa. Participants were purposively selected to prioritise women who; 1) were from ethnic minority backgrounds, due to lower representation among women surveyed; 2) were pregnant at the time of survey completion, due to their proximity to their pregnancy experience compared to those that had already had their babies at the time of survey completion; 3) had not completed the open text survey responses. Informed consent was obtained by telephone or e-mail, depending on participant preference. The participant information sheet and consent form were provided by e-mail (see supplementary material A). Interviews lasted approximately 30 min and were conducted over the telephone and/or using Microsoft Teams and were recorded with permission of the participant. Interviews were conducted by SBa and HS using a topic guide, which was developed based on the questionnaire (see supplementary material B). The data present their views on accepting the COVID-19 vaccine when pregnant, not pregnant and for their children. The interviews took place between 7th-16th December 2020.
