A protease assay was performed using skim milk powder. Skim milk agar plates were prepared using 1% skim milk powder. The bacterial colonies were inoculated in broth and allowed to grow overnight. The overnight culture was streaked on pre-prepared agar plates and incubated at 37 °C again overnight. A zone of lysis was observed. A study was performed with and without the presence of ZnSO4. Different concentrations of ZnSO4 were used to study its effect on protease activity.
