Physical activity will be measured objectively with a light triaxial accelerometer device (ActiGraph® wGT3X-BT) for seven consecutive days. Evidence for the validity and reliability of this device has been published previously [88]. Participants will be instructed to wear the accelerometer around the hip. Data will be recorded at a sample rate of 30 Hertz (Hz). Analysis will be performed with ActiLife software (version 6.13.2) using raw data set to 10-s epochs. Non-wear time will be determined using the algorithm defined by Troiano [89]. Participants’ data will be considered valid if the accelerometer was worn for at least 10 h a day, on four weekdays and one weekend day [90]. Using the cut-points for adults [91], we will consider time spent sedentary, and in light, moderate and vigorous physical activities [92].
