Human NP cells were isolated as previously described (24) and cultured in a commercial NP cell medium (ScienCell Research Laboratories, Inc.) containing 15% (FBS; Gibco; Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.) and 100 U/ml streptomycin/penicillin at 37˚C in a humidified atmosphere with 5% CO2.
