Statistical analysis was performed on GraphPad Prism 8. Unpaired t-test (two tails) was used to determine the statistical significance between DMSO (control) and juglone treatment, nested one way-ANOVA was used to determine the statistical significance between wild-type and mutant strains. P values are indicated with asterisks *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, or number symbols #p < 0.05, ##p < 0.01, ###p < 0.001. Error bars in the figures indicate the standard error of the mean (±SEM). Bar graph and Box-and-whisker plots were generated on GraphPad Prism 8. Sample sizes for coelomocyte assays were 20–30 animals per condition, for toxicity assays were 100–200 animals, for mito-HyPer and GCaMP imaging were 20–30.
