Descriptive statistics were used to describe the characteristics of the participants and the profiles of blood glucose monitoring through different methods. The continuous variables were presented as the mean and standard deviation (Sd), and the categorical variables were presented as the frequency and percentage. LPA was used to identify the underlying profiles of blood glucose monitoring in terms of the methods and the certain frequency of blood glucose monitoring. Based on the results of LPA, univariate comparisons and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify the factors associated with the profiles of blood glucose monitoring among the T2DM patients. We conducted all LPA analyses in Mplus (version 7.3) and all other analyses in Stata (version 15.0). Statistical significance was set at a p-value of <0.05.
