Transfected cells were collected after 24 h, and the cell number was counted using a blood cell counting chamber. Cells were resuspended in 10% FBS-supplemented culture medium. A 100-μl cell suspension containing 2×103 cells was seeded into 96-well plates, followed by culturing in the aforementioned conditions for different time periods of 0, 24, 48 and 72 h. For the cell proliferation assay, 10 μl of cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) reagent were added to each well, followed by incubation for a further 2 h at 37°C. The absorbance was measured at a wavelength of 450 nm using a Multiskan Spectrum Microplate spectrophotometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.).
