Cell Cycle Analysis—Propidium iodide staining and flow cytometry were used to determine the degree of cellular apoptosis. Cells were seeded at 3 × 105 cells/well in 6-well plates. Cells were treated with PG3-Oc for 48 h. Cells were harvested, fixed by 70% ethanol, and stained by propidium iodide, then flow cytometry was performed as previously described [28]. The percentage of hypo-diploid cells (sub-G1) was used to quantify dead cells in apoptosis assays.
