Sociodemographic characteristics were obtained from self-report data and through SEER. Self-report variables included: education attainment (< high school graduate, high school graduate or GED/some college, ≥ college degree), race/ethnicity (Non-Hispanic White, Non-Hispanic Black, Hispanic, Non-Hispanic Asian, Other race/ethnicity/multiracial), and marital status (married/living with a partner, never married/separated/divorced/widowed). We obtained data on survivors’ sex (male/female) from SEER.
