Human amniotic fluid was collected at term vaginal deliveries (term labor), TNIL caesarian deliveries, pPROM, spontaneous preterm births, and a human/mouse TGF-β 1 ELISA Ready-SET-Go! ELISA (second generation) (Affymetrix eBioscience) was conducted following the manufacturer’s instructions. Standard curves were developed with recombinant protein samples of known quantities. Sample concentrations were determined by correlating the samples absorbance to the standard curve by linear regression analysis.
