Neutrophils were seeded at 1 × 105 cells per well in 200 μl of medium containing 50 μM luminol (Sigma-Aldrich) and horseradish peroxidase (1.2 U/ml, Sigma-Aldrich). The cells were incubated for 15 min at 37°C and subsequently stimulated with 100 nM PMA. Luminescence was measured with a Victor Light luminescence counter (PerkinElmer).
