Graphs were made and statistical analyses were performed using GraphPad Prism (GraphPad Software Inc., La Jolla, CA). Data were expressed as means ± SEM. Comparison of survival curves used a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)–like nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis test and a multiple comparison test where adjusted P value of Wilcoxon rank sum test was used to evaluate significance. Tumor growth curves were fit using a second-order polynomial nonlinear regression. For analysis of three or more groups, ANOVA tests were performed with a Tukey’s or Sidak’s multiple comparisons test. Analysis of differences between two normally distributed paired test groups was performed using a Student’s t test. Analysis of differences between two normally distributed unpaired groups was performed using an unpaired two-tailed t test. Statistical outliers were identified using the ROUT method (Q = 1 to 10%). P values were considered statistically significant if P < 0.05.
