Differences in FAK activation on reported substrates were tested for normality using a Shapiro-Wilk goodness-of-fit test and for equal variances using a Levene’s test. If model assumptions were met, then data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Tukey’s post hoc tests, with α = 0.05. A Wilcoxon rank scores test was used to analyze data that did not meet model assumptions. The analyses were performed in JMP Pro 14 statistical software (SAS Institute, Cary, NC). Statistical significance for all other experiments was determined by Student’s t test and one-way ANOVA using GraphPad Prism, as appropriate.
