A change in ellipticity was measured at 220 nm on a Jasco J-815 spectrometer. A temperature scan between 20° and 70°C at a rate of 1°C/min with an equilibration time of 15 s was performed to unfold the protein. Spectra Manager Pro software was used to fit a two-state sigmoidal function. The inflection point was taken as the Tm (in °C), the point at which 50% of the protein is folded.
