Directional choices in trifurcations are presented as means ± 95% confidence intervals. All other data represent the means ± SD or means ± SEM from ≥3 independent experiments for each condition unless stated otherwise. Two-tailed unpaired t test, Mann-Whitney U test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA; with post hoc Tukey) test, Kruskal-Wallis (with post hoc Dunn) test, and χ2 test were used, wherever appropriate, to determine statistical significance. Statistical significance was identified as P < 0.05. Analysis was performed using GraphPad Prism 6 and OriginPro 9 software.
