The murine macrophage cell line J774A (phagocyte, Mφ) and the murine breast cancer cell line 4T1 (nonphagocyte, Nonφ) were supplied from the American Type Culture Collection. J774A.1 and 4T1 were cultivated in Dulbecco’s minimum essential medium and RPMI 1640 medium, respectively, at 37°C, 5% CO2. Both media were added with 10% (v/v) fetal bovine serum, penicillin (100 U/ml), and streptomycin (100 U/ml). Unless specified, GO (5 μg/ml) incubation was used in most of the cellular experiments.
