Analytical thin-layer chromatography was performed on Merck silica gel 60F254 glass precoated plates (0.25 mm layer). Column chromatography was performed on Merck silica gel 60 (230-400 mesh). HPLC water was purified using a Milli-Q system (Millipore, France). Tetrahydrofuran (THF) was distilled from sodium/benzophenone ketyl. Dimethylformamide (DMF), dichloromethane (DCM), and pyridine were dried on calcium hydride (CaH2) before distillation under an argon atmosphere. Methanol (MeOH) was dried over magnesium and distilled. All reactions involving air- or water-sensitive compounds were routinely conducted in glassware, which was flame-dried under a positive pressure of nitrogen. HPLC-grade acetonitrile (ACN), MeOH, ethanol (EtOH), and ethyl acetate (AcOEt) were provided by Carlo Erba (Rodano, Italy).
