Flakes of hBN, WSe2, and a few-layer graphene were mechanically exfoliated on Si/SiO2 substrates. The van der Waals heterostructure assembly was performed using a polycarbonate dry transfer technique with a hot (110°C) pickup. The assembled heterostructure was then deposited onto prefabricated electrodes (50-nm Au on 5-nm Ti) made on a polished fused silica substrate to allow transmission of the probe laser beam through the sample.
