CPF-4-5, CMF-2-5, and balsa with a size of 1.5 cm × 1.5 cm × 1.5 cm were put in a beaker with pure water. The samples were floated spontaneously on the water surface and kept for 30 days. In another beaker, diluted sulfuric acid (pH 3) was used to examine the corrosion resistance of polymeric and balsa woods. At least three samples were tested for every sample. Then, the compressive performances of these woods were examined.
