The confocal fluorescence microscopy experiment of CD44 on KG1a cells was conducted using Zeiss LSM710 confocal microscope equipped with an oil immersion objective lens (100×, NA = 1.46; alpha Plan-Apochromat, Zeiss) upon excitation with a 633-nm line of HeNe laser. Fluorescence from the samples was detected using a photomultiplier tube (Hamamatsu). Fluorescence images were acquired using the ZEN 2009 software (Zeiss).
