A549 cells were seeded in a 12-well plate at 1 × 105 cells per well for 12 hours. After incubation with CLP nanoparticles at various doses for 24 hours, cells were collected, washed with PBS, and stained with annexin V–fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and propidium iodide. Cells were further incubated for 15 min at room temperature in the dark. The percentage of apoptotic cells was quantified by flow cytometry.
